Best Basic Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
Crispy on the outside and ooey, gooey, and chocolatey on the inside
Ingredients
- 2 sticks/1C salted butter slightly softened not melted
- 2 1/4 C all purpose unbleached flour
- 1/2 C granulated sugar
- 1 C light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 12 oz 1 bag semisweet choc chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven 375* line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper(optional). In a mixing bowl beat butter, sugars, and vanilla. Beat well, add egg and beat well again. Add flour, baking soda and baking powder, mix just until blended. Add choc chips and any other mix ins ie. nuts or m&ms (1c recommended) mix just until blended. Using a 1 1/4"scoop place cookie dough scoops 2" apart on cookie sheet and bake 8- 10 min until lightly browned on edges. Cool and enjoy!
